Rape or Sexual Assault in Chicago

A rape charge is a very serious matter with serious consequences. In Illinois, the typical sentences are:

  • Class X aggravated criminal sexual assault — 6-30 years for conviction
  • Class 1 sex crimes — 4-15 years for conviction
  • Class 2 aggravated criminal sexual abuse — 3-7 years for conviction
